Assessment committees

The committees in charge of judging the academic merits of the candidates are made up of members of renowned prestige, from Catalonia, Spain and abroad, and are appointed by the Rector of the university calling for applications.

The committees are composed of a chairman, chosen by mutual agreement between the Rector and the Director of the Serra Húnter Programme (SHP), two members chosen by the Rector, and two members selected by the Programme Director. One of the members chosen by the university calling for applications acts as secretary to the committee.

Generally speaking, committee members must be well-known experts in their field of knowledge, must have excellent teaching and research records, and an international reputation. Additionally, the committee members should preferably have experience and knowledge of the academic system, at both the national and international level.
